This song is the singer who wrote for his friend. Here is his interpretation.
My No. 98 creation.
"Incomparable beauty" is the song I wrote to Deserts Chang, talking about the story of me and her. The lyrics quoted a lot of messages that I had with her. Before I stood on the stage of the marine music festival, she told me that her summer was so bad. I hoped I could give her a great summer.
When I was writing this song, I recalled the memory of the summer that we started to build a deep friendship. At that time, we were not very familiar with each other. However, she knew that I was in the funk from the messages. She immediately rushed to Shiyi Road from Shilin to meet me. At that time, I was screaming and crying on the street. I like a deserter, want to escape all sorrow. Only she caught me up and protecting me from people. That summer and that night were very important for me. I would never forget that we were running on the street, both of us out of breath and crying. Since then, “summer” has become our secret language, only we know what it means.
For me, she is like a grassland. Only with her company, I could relax and feel comfortable. We all want to fly and being shine because of each other. Even if we can't fly like a kite, we still have each other; do not have to chase after.
This song is about companionship and hope, not a sad song. I interpreted it in sorrow, though. The reason for this is that I am the one who is comforted by her, I was sad. Yet I knew that I don’t need to hide my sadness when she accompanied me. Sometimes it is the happiest thing.
I don’t have to fear that I will fall into deeper sorrow, because the warm lights up my world. Also there is soft grassland under my knees.

This is my favorite song. The lyric is so beautiful. I’m doing my best to translate it to English from Chinese. I’m not satisfied with it though. To translate to another language from my mother language is more difficult than my expectation. Especially the story of this song, I couldn’t translate it very well in some stance. After I finished my TCFL program (Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language), this is the first time that I studied Chinese grammar for translation. I can’t find the better way make the audience comprehends the meaning of this song. For me, the best way is that let the creators tell the story by themselves.
